"I own a '06 Explorer and I have one local station that is still ethanol-free. Out of curiocity, I clocked mileage after getting a full tank if non-ethanol compared to my 10% blend which I normally buy. Surprisingly, I only ran 1 mile/gal better with the non-ethanol. However, he currently charges 2.74/gal and I can get my ethanol blend at 2.59/gal. Not really worth it. "
Depends on your gas mileage. You didn't say what it was, only that it went up just 1 mpg. Your break-even on a 1 mpg improvement is 17.267 mpg. If your mpg on E10 is less than that, you're saving money with E0.
