Gasoline inventories rise again, says EIA

GasBuddy Blog -- The Energy Information Administration released its weekly report on the status of petroleum inventories in the United States today.

Here are some highlights:

CRUDE INVENTORIES:
Crude oil inventories decreased by 1.0 million barrels to a total of 360.3 million barrels. At 360.3 million barrels, inventories are 29.1 million barrels above last year (8.8%) and are above the upper limit of the average range.

GASOLINE INVENTORIES:
Gasoline inventories increased by 1.9 million barrels to 235.0 million barrels. At 235.0 million barrels, inventories are up 7.5 million barrels, or 3.3% higher than last year. Here's how individual regions and their gasoline inventory fared last week: East Coast (+0.6mb); Midwest...
