We'll trade Mexico for their oil and our illegal immigrants. Or are they called "pre-citizens" now?

It would be nice if gas prices were stable for a while.

It's a little naive to think Countries can form an "axis of influence" when it's already been accomplished by big oil and the special interest dollars influencing the legislation regulating those same businesses.

Should the US attempt to get Canada and Mexico to hoard gas and oil at the expense of the world? There should be free trade for all countries. We should only be worried about our own resources, not other countries.

Keep the oil and gas in North America. The North American Energy Alliance or aka "NA Energy Allies".

OPEC had the cartel for years. So why shouldn't we also use energy demand to influence policies to those nations who are friendly to us?

Yes, working together would be smart.
Use "alliance" instead of "axis" however!

Price fixing is officially is not allowed for western countries or companies. Intel, Hitachi, Msft and lots of other companies always get fined for price fixing.

if it helps to shift power away from opec...go for it. The opec coutiures aren't exactly beacons of demcoracy or human rights.

Don't really appreciate the name Axis of influence... BUT the US, Canada and Mexico should work together and give back to OPEC in our own pricing scheme outside our sphere of influence...
