El Paso has lowest gas prices in U.S.

Associated Press -- CAMARILLO, Calif. -

The average U.S. price of a gallon of gasoline has jumped 7 cents over the past two weeks.

That's according to the Lundberg Survey of fuel prices, which puts the price of a gallon of regular at $3.76.

Midgrade costs an average of $3.91 a gallon, and premium is at $4.04.

Diesel rose 13 cents to $4.05 a gallon.

Of the cities surveyed in the lower 48 states, El Paso, Texas, has the nation's lowest average price for gas at $3.32. Chicago has the highest at $4.22.

@vibdata, prices went up 14 cents on avg in TN today. Plus, this article uses a Lundberg Study (never heard of) for its source...

Will everyone longing for the days of $1.50 and $2.00/gal gas please let it go already?! Why stop at $1.50? Gas used to be 99 cents/gal, too.

Those prices will NEVER come back. Time to move on.

Prices can vary. There is still a chance that the 2 prices may not be really the absolute highest and lowest in he nation.
